Battlefield 2042 received its third and biggest patch to date yesterday. The much-awaited update might have just come at the right time to help improve players’ less-than-ideal experience so far. And along with the 300 bug fixes, it also brought forth some exciting news content.

While the latest update looks to salvage Battlefield 2042 from its disastrous launch, new reports have surfaced, suggesting DICE plans to deploy more patches in late December and 2022. Fans Direct Sharp Criticism Towards DICE Following Santa Skin Addition to Battlefield 2042

According to the reports, the next wave of content will bring forth a brand-new map called Exposure. When asked more about what exposure will entail, officials vaguely answered, “tak[es] map design to a whole new level.”.

As for the limited-time modes, players can expect to enjoy them this soon with the December patch dropping sooner than previously expected. Although, the mode will not be a new addition. Instead, already in-game modes, Conquest and Breakthrough, will now be capped at a 64-player capacity in place of the 128-player limit for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Earlier this year, DICE had revealed that the first competitive season of the game will not start until 2022. Surprisingly, that is when the next specialist, along with new weapons, vehicles, and much more, will arrive.
