Initial project failed leading Sony to a new direction

It would be easy to believe that a product like an electric rice cooker developed by Sony would do great in the market, especially in Japan. However, in the YouTube video viewers can go LOL learning about how Sony’s first product couldn’t make a significant impact. The product was apparently not good at what it was made for, which resulted in Sony ultimately ditching plans to launch the product altogether.

With the reputation of Sony, as it is now, it would be difficult for anyone to even imagine that one of their first products was a dump and may easily be the reason that Sony had to jump ship to enter the gaming industry. Fans would at least feel contended with the end result that has given them multiple titles they share fond memories with.

It would be worth the mention that another video game industry giant Nintendo had started out as a card game manufacturer, which was a popular game among organized criminal gangs in Japan, before also changing roles and making their impact felt across the video game market.
