Twitch streamer Valkyrae is a big name in the streaming industry. With her charm and gaming prowess, Val has managed to not only become one of the most popular gamers in the world but also branch out into different industries, including modeling. Vogue Philippines recently paid tribute to the streamer’s career with a 7-page spread, featuring exclusive shots and interviews.

The streamer posted a vlog on her official YouTube channel, sharing the behind-the-scenes journey of getting featured in the renowned magazine. Her feat even had her friends gushing over it! 

How did Valkyrae get into Vogue magazine? 

Rachell Hofstetter, aka Valkyrae, has been the face of Twitch for a long time. Back in 2020, however, Valkyrae shifted platforms. After accepting an exclusive contract from YouTube, Hofstetter became a YouTuber. On May 1, 2023, Val posted her Vogue vlog on YouTube. 

In the video, she shared how she was approached by Vogue, which recently showed interest in covering internet celebrities, along with Rolling Stone. She had to fly all the way to the Philippines for her shoot. In the vlog, she documented the entire process of getting ready for each shot as a small army of production crew and makeup experts surrounded her at all times.

For the most part of the video, Val can be seen struggling to accept the fact that she is actually getting a feature in Vogue. She shared that the magazine roughly has somewhere around 50 pages, and getting a spread of 7 pages is “huge”. Moreover, the streamer’s friends have also been thoroughly impressed by her.

Valkyrae’s friends went crazy seeing her achievement 

On Twitter, Val posted a tweet sharing her feat. This post attracted the attention of a lot of significant personalities in the online content creation industry, including her friend HasanAbi. Piker invited Val into his house with the promise of streaming games; instead, he spent a whole stream praising Rachell for her achievement. 

“Seven-page spread in Vogue Philippines, Pinoy Gang’s very own! Rachell 100T Valkyrae Hofstetter in the building, What the f*ck!” said HasanAbi. The 31-year-old even commented on the tweet with “swagapino activity.” His leg-pulling was getting so embarrassing for Val that she tried to leave the studio, saying, “This is so cringe”.
