Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast is currently the biggest and most significant creator in the world. Beating PewDiePie, Jimmy has become the most subscribed independent content creator on the platform of YouTube. With over 136 Million subscribers and billions of views, he has gained popularity never seen before. 

However, this has proved to be a double-edged sword for Jimmy because, while his loyal followers give all their heart and trust to the man, he is much more vulnerable to the wider audience. The internet, being the hotpot of desperate desires to be noticed, always gives birth to people and mindsets that some or other way to find a reason to criticize literally anything. 

MrBeast left disheartened after ‘Walmart’ drama

On March 4, 2023, MrBeast tweeted, “I need your help! Next time you see Feastables in Walmart (and soon to be new retailers) if you could clean up the presentation and make it look better that’d make me very happy,” urging his fans, to clean the shelves they use, so lives of the employees would be a little easier.

Many fans saw this tweet as an attempt at spreading some goodwill, but there was a certain group who had their own interpretation of the act. Many started throwing absurd criticisms at Jimmy, some even claiming it to be a potential marketing ploy for his latest chocolate bar for ‘Feastables’.

In a currently deleted tweet, one fan wrote something, that was very triggering for Jimmy, as he took a defensive stance in the replies and said, “I’m asking my fans to clean up after themselves and when they’re at Walmart just take 2 seconds to make Walmart employee’s lives easier. It’s not that crazy… I miss the days when people wouldn’t cancel me over every little thing lol.”

Many clap back at Jimmy’s statement, with his fans coming into his defense

The reception of this reply wasn’t very friendly for MrBeast. People came at him, throwing all kinds of criticisms. Some even suggested that this wasn’t ‘cancel culture’ at all and that he should grow up and take criticism. However, there was a large portion of individuals who actually understood Jimmy’s side and expressed their support.

MrBeast had to witness this once before when he had uploaded his video, where he cured 1000 people of their blindness. People called him ‘demonic’ for his efforts
