The entertainment industry woke up to the devastating news about the demise of Lance Reddick. The talented artist was well-known as an actor and a musician. Reddick has been part of the industry for more than 25 years, through which he has donned many iconic roles. The latest and most popular one is the character Charon in the John Wick series.

Reddick has also contributed tremendously to the Esports field as well, voicing numerous characters across prominent game franchises.

Lance Reddick: A talent who covered several fields

Lance Solomon Reddick was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1962. He started his career as an actor with the television show New York Undercover, as he was featured in one of the episodes. But what made him popular and a fan-favorite was his iconic portrait of Cedric Daniels in the Wire. He made his movie debut in Great Expectations in 1998.

We got to see him play many popular characters throughout his journey as an actor. And for the gaming industry, he gave voice to several iconic characters. The actor has voiced many prominent characters across several popular franchises. One of the most popular ones among them was Commander Zavala in the Destiny Franchise. He has been in 10 Destiny titles voicing Zavala.

Being one of the main characters in the John Wick franchise, Reddick was also chosen to reprise his role in the game adaptation as well. We got to see Reddick as Charon in the 2019 game, John Wick: Hex. His contribution to the gaming industry does not stop there. He was also part of the PlayStation-exclusive Horizon franchise, voicing Sylens.

Two games will be released posthumously where fans could hear the voice of Reddick one last time. The titles are the Burning Shores expansion of Horizon and Hellboy: Web of Wyrd.

The latter’s release date is not yet announced, but it is reported that Reddick would be voicing the title character.
