In a recent leak, Nickelodeon might soon be releasing Kart Racer 3: Slime Speedway. The leak happened when unknowingly bestbuy.com uploaded the game’s cover on their site. Fans immediately started sharing it on Discord and Reddit. After the leak, its cover was replaced by a placeholder cover art, intriguing fans with even more mystery.

The game is a sequel to Nickelodeon’s Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix, which was released in 2020. Now, in 2022, Nickelodeon is bringing back its Mario Kart-inspired Kart game to gamers again. Despite being inspired by Nintendo, the game is still profitable for the company since it will only be accessible on Switch.

It is possible for characters like SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, and many others to show up from previous games. But most surprisingly, it might also feature characters like Garfield and Dora in the game.

Can Kart Racers 3 overcome Mario Kart?

Kart Racers series is infamous for being a carbon copy of Nintendo’s Mario Kart franchise. Mostly because of its colorful gameplay and an arsenal of several popular characters that can be selected. Just like its counterpart, Kart Racers also have difficult race tracks and power-ups for each random item that a player might pick up during the race.

Surprisingly though, the game did not have any voice acting in its previous installments, and the graphics were a bit steep. Apart from this, the game also did not perform well in the market, because of its unpolished mechanics. 

However, arcade fans believe that the 3rd installment of the game might turn the tables. With it being developed by GameMill Entertainment (developers of the previous two games), but with the accord of Nintendo, the game might perform well. If this occurs, the game might make Mario Kart struggle because Nickelodeon has a sizable fan base.
