Halo is a beloved franchise and has fascinated the Xbox gamers across the globe with memorable entries. Ever since the first installment came out in the year 2001, players have been in love with the iconic character of Master Chief and his adventures.

However, there’s a rare fact, which was recently shared on social media, about the Halo series and its origins. Not to mention that upon knowing this weird and unbelievable information, most of the fans will have their minds blown away, for sure. Because it’s directly connected with the late Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple Inc.

Xbox exclusive Halo saga was originally revealed by Apple co-founder Steve Jobs for Mac and Windows PC!

Washington Post reporter Gene Park recently shared an interesting clip from more than two decades ago. It featured the late co-founder of Apple Inc. and genius visionary Steve Jobs. However, what he was seen unveiling was none other than the first-ever Halo game in the now-iconic Xbox saga.

Yes, many Xbox players won’t believe it initially, but it’s true indeed. The story goes back to the year 1999 when Jobs held a Macworld conference in New York. During that time, Mr. Jobs was the interim CEO of Apple Computer. While introducing the fresh Mac models, he also presented the world with Halo: Combat Evolved.

Not only that, as the clip shows above, Steve Jobs also mentioned that the game would release simultaneously on the Mac and the Windows PC. He then asked Bungie’s Jason Jones to showcase the gameplay footage from Halo: Combat Evolved.

It should be noted, by looking at the footage, that two decades ago, Halo was a third-person series, contrary to the first-person format it follows currently on the Xbox.

But more than anything else, Steve Jobs revealing an Xbox game to the entire world is literally shocking to even imagine. It’s because of the long-running tussle between Apple and Microsoft as both the companies have tried to outperform each other. Amid this situation, the appearance of the Xbox exclusive such as Halo in a Macworld conference is seriously mind-boggling, to say the least.
