Cavill admits that World of WarCraft had almost cost him his role as Superman in Man of Steel. When Graham Norton speaks about Cavil’s passion for gaming, he asks Superman, “Didn’t you nearly lost quite an important job?” To this, Cavill replies, ” Absolutely! yeah, I was playing a game called World of WarCraft, and I missed the call from Zack Snyder’s telling me I got Superman!” 

When Graham asks, “But, did you hear the phone ringing?” Cavill admits he heard his phone ringing and ignored it. Sadly, Cavill was not quite successful with his endeavor in the World of WarCraft and called Zack Snyder back to respond to his missed calls.
