The same was the case with an Animal Crossing fan who, after sharing images of her special cookies baked for Halloween, got banned, taking the case to Reddit.

Recently, a Reddit user by the name of ‘witchelina‘ got banned from Instagram. Unknown of the fact that she is not alone in this ban hammer by the popular social media platform, she took the case to Animal Crossing‘s subreddit. Notably, other players also had some interesting takes on the matter.

Although, when someone told her that a lot of people got banned, she was surprised as she thought most of her posts were harmless and were mostly about DIY stuff and a typical account of a mother.

Other said that they have read articles about the ban and thus believe she was the victim of the same. Additionally, she confessed that the ban happened just after she posted her cookies on Instagram, almost after a month. Thus making her confused about the relationship between her post and the sudden ban.

One user even thought that the ban was a kind of Trick-or-Treat prank by the social media platform to scare their users.

Some users even started appreciating her cookies as they believed that they are quite cute.

What actually happened?

On Halloween, suddenly Instagram users started getting logged out of their own accounts without any apparent reason. Users were also experiencing a lot of server-down errors for some internal issues on the server side. This was then acknowledged by the company on its Twitter handle by writing, “We’re aware that some of you are having issues accessing your Instagram account. We’re looking into it and apologize for the inconvenience.”

Although later the matter was resolved by Instagram, still it saw a lot of backlash from users as they thought that it was the platform itself that was banning them.
