Although Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a very cute-looking and charming game, it can also turn spooky sometimes. A Nintendo Switch user recently witnessed something unexpected in the hit title that shook them inside-out.

Going by a Reddit post, one Animal Crossing player just encountered a scary moment in the Nintendo Switch exclusive. Not to mention that it made them too afraid to play the game any further.

Weird bug scares Animal Crossing: New Horizons player with a haunting jump scare in the museum

According to the Reddit user, lili-grace, they saw a scary sequence in ACNH recently while playing the evergreen title on their Switch console. They shared a very brief clip of encountering their friend. Basically, they decided to open their island in order to spend some time with their friend at Brewster’s cafe in Blathers’ museum.

As you can see, the player enters from the lower right side of the museum, in front of the Blathers. Just when everything appears to be normal, the friend pops up suddenly, without moving, and occupies a large portion of the screen as well.

However, the biggest scary moment was when their friend vanished as soon as they appeared. This jump scare really added even more creepiness to the entire situation. It’s seriously a weird and nightmarish bug to witness inside Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

All things considered, other players of Animal Crossing will surely become more careful now while venturing around their islands inside the virtual world of the Nintendo Switch exclusive.

Meanwhile, talking about different things going on in ACNH, players can currently purchase tons of items inspired by the Spanish festival La Tomatina. Although they can’t throw tomatoes at other villagers, the items will surely give them a great feeling.
