Fortnite is one of the most prominent battle royale games and it even made a big name in the eSports world. But for the past few years, it hasn’t been getting that much attention in the eSport scene, leading many organizations to shut down their Fortnite squads. The latest one to do is none other than Sentinels.

Sentinels recently broke the internet with the news of dissolving their Fortnite division. But the fans are disappointed in the eSports organization, as dissolving the Fortnite squad led to them kicking out one of the most significant persons in Sentinels.

Sentinels kicked-out Bugha

The Sentinels CEO Rob Moore recently went on to Twitter where he shared, As our organization maps out the future, our strategy is to focus on games that provide the opportunity to activate for our sponsors or offer team-branded in-game content. Fortnite has not offered either of those. I am announcing today we will no longer be competing in Fortnite.

In the following tweet, Moore informed the fans that the shutting down of the Fortnite squad also means they would have to let go of Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf, Nick “Aspect” McGuire, and Brian “Zyfa” Wielgolaski. The Sentinels CEO further thanked Bugha for his contribution to the eSports organization.

Bugha was a significant part of Sentinels. He helped them win their first major title, which was the 2019 World Cup. The 19-year-old old was also the main figure in the organization who attracted a lot of people to become Sentinels fans. So Kyle leaving them was a massive blow to Sentinels.

Fornite fans were not happy with Sentinels for kicking out Bugha. They claimed the 19-year-old was the primary reason for them to follow the eSports organization. Many fans also criticized Sentinels for it and claimed they could have still kept Bugha as a Fortnite streamer. Fans even called Sentinels unloyal for this move.
