As tweeted by journalist George Geddes @GeorgeCGed, “The VALORANT Esports YouTube account has been hacked, all the videos deleted and it’s currently streaming a crypto scam…” This news came as a shock to many gamers playing and not playing the game at the same time.

With that, it got known that the account where content regarding the community’s Esports was uploaded got hacked. Evidently, the video also got deleted in place of a crypto scam stream. As seen in the tweet itself, one can look at the channel playing a video with a thumbnail of Elon Musk.

Moreover, the organization u.today reported that the cryptocurrency broadcasted a fake video with Elon Musk. It was further learned that the stream featured a video from July of the investment firm ARK Invest’s July panel with Musk.

Fortunately, the journalist continued the tweet thread by saying, “Crisis averted, all good.” Thus, acknowledging that the channel had been retrieved. Cheers to the manpower behind its retrieval. However, this scenario did stand as one where hackers targeted a big Esports organization.
