One aspect that made people adore Twitter was its blue checkmarks. Earlier, many people felt that these badges gave a unique identity. These were not bought through monetary transactions but were rather gifted by the platform. This aspect went through a transition when Elon Musk decided to make it subscription based.
As of April 20, the marks are completely removed, and now one can avail them only through the aforementioned subscription. This has some of the popular content creators talking. Valkyrae, who earlier had the blue badge shared on her Twitter feed about how she is ‘unverified’ now.

On the other hand, it seems that the king of YouTube has decided to embrace everything offered by Twitter. His blue checkmark still seems to be intact. Moreover, Donaldson even went on to switch on his premium subscription on the platform. This would help him contribute more to his philanthropic side.
