For those who are not aware, there’s currently an exploit found in Black Ops Cold War. It is causing the online lobbies to crash. Not just that, it’s also leaking out players’ IP addresses!

Treyarch released Black Ops Cold War nearly three years ago. Similar to the past games in the hit sub-series, this one ended up amassing a huge popularity as well, thanks to a phenomenal experience and Zombie-based modes in general. However, it seems like they will have to stay away from Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War for a while now. Recently, media outlet CharlieIntel shared a very crucial news regarding the game’s ongoing situation. According to the big update, this specific COD game has been compromised by an exploit lately. So far, it’s not been resolved and addressed by the devs.

Call of Duty Streamer Believes Treyarch’s Sequel to an Iconic Black Ops Title Can Save the Dying Franchise

The aforementioned exploit can enable the hackers to “gain access to a player’s IP, crash their game, or potentially cause other issues. No indication so far of it happening in MWII or Warzone 2. Activision has not addressed this nor have they stated they’re aware of this problem. Would be best to avoid Cold War till fixed”, read the tweet from CharlieIntel.

The most important thing to note here is that this exploit is not only harmful for PC players but for those having PlayStation and Xbox consoles too. Hence, it’s better to refrain from opening Cold War unless the devs address this entire situation.
