The latest season update for Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War arrived earlier yesterday. Being an end-of-season update, it is titled the Season 4 update. Similar to the previous update, the Season 4 update brought tons of new guns, maps, game modes, and more. However, one of the most glaring differences comes in the form of players now being able to gift their friends the battle pass.

Call of Duty Blacks Ops Cold War has already been quite lucrative due to the bundles available in the store and battle pass subscriptions. The introduction of the battle pass gifting system will only add to this profitability. In order to initiate this process, you will first have to set up Two-Factor authentication for your Activision account.

Players can now access the new “Gift Battle Pass” command located to the right of the “Support a Creator” option. The option can be activated with Triangle on PlayStation or Y on Xbox. Once this is open use (X/A) to select which friend you wish to gift the battle pass to. Here, they can select between the standard Battle Pass or the Battle Pass Bundle. The bundle includes immediate access to the first 20 Tiers.

Call of Duty Warzone Season 4 introduces a new limited-time mode

In addition to this, players can also take part in the new ‘Ground Fall’ Limited time mode on Call of Duty Warzone. Players must “Find and secure the new Sat-Link stations to triangulate the location of a falling satellite in Verdansk. Loot the fallen satellites to score exclusive loot and cash rewards during the game. The objectives for this event will reward you with items such as Emblems, Calling Cards, a Satellite Weapon Charm, as well as some XP. “

Throughout the season, Activision will add new operators and weapons as part of bundles to the game. While most of these will be released during the launch week itself, some of them will release in the coming weeks.
