The studio teased the title for days. The wait finally came to an end today with the teaser reveal, although it hardly qualifies as one.

Reveal comes sooner than we thought

The promo art from the poster doesn’t reveal much. An American soldier on one side and a Soviet soldier on the other. A clear nod to the plot of the game but we are set to get more details in just six more days.

Prior to the big reveal, Activision decided to spend some time polishing their art. They simultaneously sent out mystery boxes to certain gamers and influencers. It turned out to be a hunt of sorts as they had to go through multiple challenges and decode the cryptic information.

The clues led them to the old Black Ops 4 that redirected them to a website. The website then revealed that it would reveal 5 different clues on 5 different days.

The final clue led them to the YouTube link of the teaser trailer for the game. However, it was touted bizarre since it had no in-game footage but just a hint of the backdrop and setting.

What to expect from Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War reveal?

A major highlight in the trailer was the take on β€˜Persues’; a codename for an individual who was to infiltrate the US government. The central plot could be around the same and it should be quite engaging from the looks of it.

On the other hand, Tom Henderson had some information to share on Twitter. He stated that Cold War Zombie reveal will come at a later date than the main title. The news isn’t particularly new, but many would have expected to see a glimpse of it in the coming days.

Not everyone was happy with the teaser and a major reason behind that were the leaks that had already made the rounds online. Those who spent a lot of their time figuring out the challenges ended up with the same news that most people already knew.

Some more crucial information about the upcoming game might drop in Warzone, Call of Duty’s big battle royale. Unless the studio has a sudden change of heart, we’ll soon be getting a reveal in Verdansk too.
