Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Season 3 is close to launching its ‘reloaded’ counterpart. The mid-season update for Season 3 Reloaded will take place on May 19, which is less than two weeks away. Furthermore, it will also see the launch of a new event in the game.

While there is no intel on what the new event will be, players will hope to see an end to the Adler business. Since Stitch abducted Adler, Activision has focused all events in the game on tracing his tracks. Season 3 Reloaded will be a good way to end this arc and start a new one where the Frank Woods and Co. get together against the Nova gas peddlers. With Verdansk getting a fresh look, the Adler story needs a break soon.

On that note, there is a chance we will see an old Modern Warfare comrade join the scene. ‘Soap’ might be back with Frank Woods soon, as leaks suggest. A Soap bundle is on the lines and it might come out with the Season 3 Reloaded update. This crossover can mean several things for the story arc, but nothing is confirmed. Apart from the Operator skin, the leaks suggest some other items will be in the bundle.

Call of Duty 2021 reveal not far away

Activision has a set pattern with Call of Duty games. Since each game has a one year timeline, the revelation of the upcoming title takes place rather early in the year. May is usually the month when the reveal happens and we get the first look at the multiplayer by the end of the summer.

A leaker posted on Twitter, a snapshot of the game files which suggests a reveal of the 2021 title is not that far off. In the game files there is present, a code for a new event with the term ‘x2’. According to the leaker, BOCW reveal was termed ‘x1’ in the files and this might probably mean ‘x2’ stands for Cod 2021.

Most of the intel around the upcoming CoD are leaks and might turn out to be false in reality. Furthermore, we can expect an official reveal from Activision in a month or so. If it aims to release the title in November 2021 and beta tests beforehand, there is not a lot of months in between.
