Call of Duty Season 3 received its mid-season update a few weeks ago. The developers fully utilize this opportunity to breathe some life into CoD with the 80’s Action Heroes event. Not only did they introduce the iconic Rambo and John McClane into the game, but they also introduced customized playlists for the event.

Now, most fans are looking past this mid-season update towards the arrival of season 4. Based on when the third season will end, Season 4 should begin on June 16 or 17. We can expect to hear more news about the update during the weekly briefing blog post which arrives at the start of every week.

Furthermore, Activision usually drops a trailer for the new Season a week prior to its release. While the developers did not stick to this schedule for the recent mid-season update, we can expect some kind of promotion for the update during its week of release.

Activision is one of the developers who will be in attendance at the Summer Games Fest. The conference should be held a few days before the update arrives, making it the perfect time for them to drop some teasers.

Leaks reveal new scorestreaks and weapons coming in Call of Duty Season 4

As of now, developers have not confirmed any of the new items coming to Black Ops Cold War. However, some leaks have revealed the potential scorestreaks that will be added in Season 4. Overpowered items like the Annihilator pistol, War Machine, flamethrower, and K9 unit which have existed in previous titles are set to make a return.

In addition to this, there are also five new weapons that will be introduced with Season 4. Firstly the Ameli LMG from Call of Duty Ghosts will be remade for Cold War. Returning alongside this is the Nail Gun from Black Ops 3.  Furthermore, the RP-84 and Calico will also be added over the course of the Season.

These leaks do not indicate when these weapons will be released. Thus, we can expect some of them to arrive on the day of the Season 4 update and others to be included along with a mid-season update.
