Activision has had a number of problems with the Call of Duty franchise for the past couple of years. Ever since Infinity Ward took over Modern Warfare, things have gone haywire. Warzone was there to save the day, but only for a little while.

The release of Black Ops Cold War and its merger with Warzone left many with a bad taste in the mouth. Starting from hackers in every lobby, SBMM, broken weapons and exploitative glitches, players had a new reason to hate the game with every major update.

Nonetheless, the upcoming Season 2 Reloaded update for Warzone and BOCW might make things better for MW players. Though the game is out of circulation, and no longer a prime concern for Activision, the game size was still troublesome.

The most affected were the ones who played on consoles. Consoles already have lesser storage compared to PC, which means players have to be careful about their choices. Any MW player who installed Warzone had to give up over 50 gigs of space for just one game. For PC players, the sizes were more exorbitant. After an update back in July 2020, the game weighed at over 200 GB.
