While the Season 1 Reloaded update brought tons of fresh additions to Modern Warfare II, one interesting surprise among all of them happens to be inside the DMZ mode of Warzone 2. It has received a new, secret area in Building 21. Shockingly, though, no one knows if it actually exists or not in the game.

Many players have recently tried to explore Building 21 and its whereabouts in Call of Duty Warzone 2 ever since it was revealed by the makers ahead of the mid-season update in December. However, they are yet to find any clues to spot its location. Let’s find out why this is the case as of now.

Why is Building 21 not there in Call of Duty Warzone 2 DMZ despite an official confirmation?

An official blog from the developing team had already announced that Season 1 Reloaded would reveal a brand new area inside the DMZ mode of Warzone 2. Known as Building 21, the location of this area is highly classified. Per the COD blog, the description of the same is “clandestine biological laboratory.”

Moreover, it’s been mentioned that only the strongest operators will survive in this extremely mysterious area. They will need some keys to gain access to Building 21. Interestingly, it is a separate area from the map of Al Mazrah in Call of Duty Warzone 2. It implies that it’s not located inside the vast region available for the DMZ mode.

Another interesting thing is that despite putting their extensive efforts; there are many players who have failed to unlock Building 21 in DMZ whatsoever. They have been unable to figure out how to find its correct location in order to begin the quest based on this biological laboratory. Unfortunately, it looks this area is still not available in Call of Duty Warzone 2. That is; it has not gone live just yet.

Media outlet CharlieIntel revealed a crucial information regarding Building 21. It clears a lot of doubts that most of the players must be having right now.

As one can see in the tweet by CharlieIntel, Infinity Ward told them that the laboratory won’t show up immediately after the Season 1 Reloaded update. They also mentioned that there won’t be any announcement as well for when it will be rolled out inside Warzone 2’s DMZ mode. Which means that the players will have to figure it out themselves in the game.

So one can expect to hear something about this area only when a curious Call of Duty user will succeed in gaining access to this highly classified building.
