Last year, Call of Duty Warzone 2 changed the way how battle royale games tend to be. With its fresh approach, being part of the ‘new era’ for the franchise, the game has turned out to be quite interesting. Despite its success in terms of attracting millions of players, it has also faced some serious issues. They are mostly related to the new changes made by the devs, compared to the original Warzone.

Speaking of the predecessor itself, then what made it unique and highly amazing was its nature of offering engaging gameplay modes. Such as the Plunder, that eventually became a fan-favorite content in the original battle royale in the Call of Duty series. When it comes to the latest Warzone 2, however, there’s no sign of this mode. Even two months after its worldwide debut, this mode is nowhere to be seen.

Is Plunder coming to Call of Duty Warzone 2’s Al Mazrah in the near future?

For those who are not aware, Plunder involves a lot of looting. The goal is to loot as much as possible and finish with a certain monetary milestone. In the end, the player with the highest figure (gaining the benefits of infinite respawns) becomes the winner.

This mode is vastly different from the usual battle royale format. Because the latter only gives a limited chance of getting respawns. However, Plunder is like a boon for many players who want unstoppable fun with the golden opportunity of earning lots of cash.

Sadly, there’s been no sign of this mode in Call of Duty Warzone 2 yet. There’s been no official news revealed on it as well. So does that mean it won’t be appearing in the ongoing battle royale installment? The answer to this question is quite tricky as of now.

Last year, in December, a Call of Duty player had come across a weird map glitch inside Warzone 2. YouTuber tiktokalnuke shared a clip more than a month ago, where they showed how a bug offered several hints of a potential return of Plunder.

Anyone familiar with this mode can make out what the message shown in the video suggests. It says “CALL IN CASH DEPOSIT HELI”, which was something found in the original Warzone’s Plunder experience. Once a player manages to collect a lot of cash, they get an option to call in a helicopter in order to make a successful extraction. While this bug was witnessed in December 2022, it might be some kind of indication for the beloved mode to come back.

Moreover, media outlet CharlieIntel also reported last month that a leaked information revealed two new modes for Warzone 2. One of these leaked modes had a dollar symbol. Well, that can be another possible hint for Plunder’s return. But eventually, it all depends on the devs. It will be interesting to see if they drop an official announcement or not in the coming months.
