It’s been a long time since Verdansk was removed from Warzone. However, the newly revealed map for 2023’s iteration of the battle royale may seem like a resurrection of the iconic map. At least that’s what a renowned pro player believes following a recent reveal of the next major Warzone region in the new Call of Duty.

For the uninitiated, 2023’s FPS from Activision will add a unique map to Warzone. It will be different from anything fans have seen so far with the likes of Al Mazrah, Ashika Island or Vondel. Ahead of the COD Next event, the makers recently decided to give a sneak peek of the awaited map in the battle royale’s next chapter. JGOD wrote in his post that the newly teased map is “definitely putting off those Verdansk vibes.”

He tried to explain his point by mentioning that it might be the case after adding water between the port and downtown on the right, as shown in the images above.

Well, that’s an interesting take, to say the least. Especially when considering the fact that it’s coming from an expert like James. It will be intriguing to see how the official reveal for Warzone’s anticipated map turns out to be. For now, everyone will have to wait till COD Next arrives this Thursday.

Apart from the fact that it will get another original map, there’s no other intel available on 2023’s battle royale. Seems like the makers want to maintain the secrecy over its full content. But the good news is that COD Next will eventually end up unleashing all the relevant details.

Speaking of the event itself, there will be a lot to watch out for the next Modern Warfare III as well. It’s coming with a set of 16 remastered maps from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2. Luckily, fans will get to see a few of them during the event.
