Modern Warfare 2 is far away from being a free game. It has a high price tag of $70, which has become the norm in the current AAA games. But that doesn’t affect the player base at all. As this premium game was competing against Free-to-play games for the top place in the most-played games chart on steam, ever since its release.
And on November 17, 2022, CoD MW2 was successful in reaching that milestone. Online CoD news provider CharlieIntel reported the news on Twitter from their official Twitter account. They wrote, “Modern Warfare II x Warzone 2 is the #1 game on Steam right now, with over 450,000 people online.” In the Steam list, it could be seen that CoD had managed to surpass Multiplayer FPS giant Counter-Strike and legendary MOBA Dota 2, for a while.
