During its timeline from 2003 till now, the Call of Duty saga has witnessed tons of unforgettable stories. While there are multiple entries in Activision’s iconic series, few of them have simply made their way to the top. Especially, the ones under the Modern Warfare and Black Ops franchise respectively.

Today, both these universes have got an established fanbase of millions. Currently, gaming enthusiasts are waiting for Activision’s next premium offering, Call of Duty 2023. It’s expected to be a Modern Warfare title. While the buzz for the game is slowly catching pace, some franchise lovers believe that MW and Black Ops characters should come together in a crossover. But their idea for such a project is a little on the extreme side.

The first Black Ops installment came out in 2010, developed by Treyarch. On the other hand, the Modern Warfare sub-series started in 2007, with the release of CoD 4, from Infinity Ward. In many of their games, both these franchises mostly feature a group of certain individuals who go on a mission in order to save the world from evil minds and terrorist organizations.

Characters like Captain Price, Ghost, Soap, and Alex have become synonymous with the Modern Warfare brand. Then there are the likes of Woods, Mason, and Hudson who are familiar faces of the Black Ops sub-series. Despite being different entities, these two are connected. In fact, the makers have confirmed through the events of Warzone 1 that they exist in the same universe. This means there could be a chance for fans to see a situation involving Task Force 141 members meeting their BO counterparts.

This is exactly what YouTuber GamingRevolution wants. In a Twitter post, the popular content creator recently shared his thoughts on the characters from Infinity Ward and Treyarch’s sub-series. While mentioning a theory, he wrote that Call of Duty needs to contrive a storyline in which MW and BO characters go against each other. The simple reason is that they now exist in the same universe.
