Continuing their efforts of making most of the players hooked to MWII, the devs recently released a brand new update in Season 5. Similar to the previous seasons, it has revealed numerous perks like weapons, maps, and modes. However, the update has also unveiled a special, limited-time event called Faction Showdown. It has already gone live in the game following the debut of the latest season.

What is Faction Showdown in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II?

From August 4 to August 16, CoD players can take part in the ongoing Faction Showdown event in Modern Warfare II as well as Warzone. The objective is simple: pick a side out of Task Force 141 and Shadow Company and fight for it. Players will have to amass as many kills as possible. Eventually, the faction with the highest number of kills, contributed by the players themselves, will win.
