That’s why the makers are now leaving no stone unturned in making it better and outstanding, at least since the last month and a half.

That’s why players have seen many new modes making their way to Multiplayer. But the addition of Ranked Play has probably made a vast difference in terms of keeping them engaged. Since its arrival, most of the users have ended up liking the gameplay in MWII. However, it’s soon going to have a refresh in a big way. At least that’s what a weird bug has suggested to some players.

A mysterious bug in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II has seemingly revealed upcoming selectable Ranked Play modes

They introduced season 2 Reloaded earlier this month, coming with various changes. After applying the update, though, many players have gone through inexplicable situations, mostly relating to glitches. While most of them have created troubles, a rare bug has now convinced certain users that Ranked Play is soon going to receive an overhaul.

A Call of Duty player on Reddit recently posted an image of Modern Warfare II’s menu. According to them, they saw a rare bug that appeared briefly and then vanished. It showed them the option to play Ranked Hardpoint. Going by what the user has tried to explain, it seems like an unreleased feature.

So is this an indication of an upcoming update that will reveal choice-based modes for Ranked Play in Modern Warfare II? This is something only time will tell. As of now, the competitive mode only has one filter that randomly puts the player in a given mode for a match. There is Hardpoint, Control, and Search & Destroy included in the Ranked Play experience.

As for the game itself, it is now available worldwide with the Season 2 Reloaded update. Interested players can purchase it on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X\S, Xbox One, and PC.
