However, if there’s something that has significantly made the ongoing game appealing, then it has to be the challenges featured in Season 2. Especially the specific ones that are associated with one of the newly added Call of Duty Operators. At least that’s what a popular gaming expert believes. According to him, MWII has a chance of becoming a good title moving forward. Only if it sticks to the new format revealed in the second season.

The YouTuber specifically mentioned ‘Path of the Ronin’ event. The latter was unveiled during the release of Season 2 in February. It’s based on the returning Operator Ronin, from 2019’s Modern Warfare by Infinity Ward. Going by what the content creator has tried to explain, it seems like the factor of making the challenges under this event available for a limited duration is quite amazing. That way, players always have this urge to complete them because they know they will end after a certain number of days.

That’s what the devs have done with Path of the Ronin event. By making the challenges timed and temporarily available, they have given an extra edge to the content. This way, it won’t feel boring due to having a short span. Such a format wasn’t introduced in Modern Warfare II during the reveal of Season 1 in 2022.

Moreover, Espresso also pointed out that Season 2 has revealed various Camo challenges for all the different weapons. This is also quite a unique and refreshing move. Yes, this isn’t groundbreaking but, still, a welcome change. According to the YouTuber, this kind of stuff keeps him coming back to play MWII and Warzone 2 compared to something like a new map reveal.
