Recently, a reputed scooper account on social media shared interesting information regarding the next Call of Duty. While mentioning the Field Upgrades, they revealed that the game will receive a brand new utility to help out the players during combat.

For those uninitiated, Field Upgrades are an essential and unique part of the loadouts in the action franchise. They passively recharge over time and can be used when needed the most during intense situations.

They can be obtained by leveling up one’s rank in Call of Duty. Players can use them in different multiplayer modes. Some of them include the Perks, Tactical and Lethal Equipment, and Weapons, among others. Now a new field upgrade is about to be revealed in the upcoming Call of Duty Modern Warfare II, according to the latest leak.

It was written that the upcoming entry from Infinity Ward will have an “inflatable decoy” as a utility. Basically, it will grant the player a decoy soldier who will have identical skin to that of the main player. Simply put, this decoy soldier will look exactly like the player themselves.

Now it sounds really amazing to have a field upgrade like that. Moreover, it will also remind some of a similar feature seen in Hideo Kojima‘s Metal Gear Solid V. In that title, you could have a buddy in the combat who had a similar appearance to you.

Meanwhile, fans also reacted to this report. Most of them are looking forward to the new field upgrade in MWII. And it seems like they will surely try this out while taking on their opponents.

Activision‘s Call of Duty Modern Warfare II comes out on October 28th, 2022. It will be available on the PC via Steam and Blizzard Launcher, the PlayStation, and the Xbox.
