Call of Duty fandom has mostly enjoyed playing the ongoing premium offering, Modern Warfare II, from Activision. However, despite being the biggest blockbuster release of 2022, the latest installment is facing serious issues. By now, almost everyone is aware of the fact that it is not a perfect video game at all. It has got bugs, glitches, and various other problems, to say the least.

However, what’s alarming to see is the rate at which they keep emerging on a constant basis. And this time, it’s a new update that somehow ended up unleashing a game-breaking bug in Multiplayer. Compared to previously discovered glitches, this one simply makes everything go black!

Call of Duty Modern Warfare II Multiplayer gets ruined after a black screen bug wreaks havoc in matches

In case anyone missed keeping track of events, the devs had recently rolled out a new update. It was revealed to address previous issues that were affecting the gameplay. Along with other fixes, the update also brought an extra element. It was added to make the screen go black for eliminated players in Ranked Play matches. Because they weren’t able to go to Spectating automatically after getting killed.

However, it looks like the implementation of this change ended up being a blunder. That’s quite evident from the reactions of Call of Duty players online. Recently, a Redditor took to the social platform to express their frustration. They mentioned that while playing the game, their screen was going black for no reason. “New black screen bug (video). C’mon Activision, you’re an embarrassment,” read the title of the post.
