Introduction of unique events in Call of Duty games is nothing new. Since the last few years, players have witnessed some amazing content featuring engaging challenges getting revealed in various seasonal updates. Modern Warfare II is also doing the same with some of its recent events making their debuts in 2023.

With Season 4 releasing in the next few days, the developers will drop another massive event for the fans. Well, it is known as the ‘Assault on Vondel’. Not to mention that it’s directly related to the map of Vondel which will make its appearance in the awaited update. Simply put, players will have a big opportunity to earn extra rewards this time.

‘Assault on Vondel’ event in Season 4 explained for Call of Duty Modern Warfare II & Warzone

For those who are not aware, the event is connected to an iconic CoD Operator who will be making a comeback after four years. The character of Nikto was first introduced in 2019’s Modern Warfare reboot. And now, he will be seen once again making his presence felt in Season 4 with the ‘Assault on Vondel’ event.

According to the official description, “Nikto has arrived, and he’s brought company.” The deep-cover agent is trying to take over the city of Vondel with the help of his cloaked army of mercenaries. Thus, players will have to “fight back against Nikto’s clandestine army and reclaim the city in the Assault on Vondel Launch Event.”

This special event will begin with Season 4’s release on June 14 and will last until July 7. Players will get to participate in various challenges which will give them medals. They will enable them to unlock personal rewards while also helping them to contribute to “the grand community medal count total.”

The moment a predetermined number of medals are earned, players will be able to access the following features: Taxi Boats & Tramways, Reinforcement Flare Field Upgrade, the Favorite Supply Box. Additionally, they will also unlock the new melee weapon called Tonfa for usage in Multiplayer as well as Warzone.

Activision’s Call of Duty Modern Warfare II is now available worldwide. Players can own it on the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X\S, Xbox One, and PC.
