The Ricochet Anti-Cheat system also seems to be working in a weird manner lately. Earlier this year, it was refined to block potential hackers or cheaters from the game. However, the tool has been operating in an unexpected way. It looks like instead of real culprits, actual players are receiving the wrath of the anti-cheat software. This becomes quite evident from a new incident involving some renowned COD gamers.

Not hackers, but Call of Duty pro players are getting shadow banned in Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2

Jake Lucky is a popular name on the internet who keeps sharing interesting stuff on his Twitter profile. Especially when it comes to anything related to gaming. This time, he tried to highlight a serious problem that has affected a lot of regular players of MWII. While posting a Tweet, he revealed that the anti-cheat tool in the game is now shadow banning professional players. This is shocking to believe considering the fact that it’s designed to actually ban the cheaters and not those who go by the rules.

Per Jake’s Tweet, it seems like Optic’s Brandon was recently shadow banned in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II. Moreover, Alec also had a similar incident where he got banned by the game for cheating when he wasn’t doing anything.
