Call of Duty Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2 – Season 2 Reloaded Patch Notes Reveal All the Big Changes, Bug Fixes, and Improvements

Activision’s latest Call of Duty offerings in Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2 have been around for quite some time now. While these titles have amassed a lot of popularity, players have also gone through tons of unexpected scenarios. There have been unending bugs, glitches, and whatnot. And to deal with them, the makers have rolled out important updates at regular intervals. Not to mention the major changes for the in-game elements.

With the awaited release of Season 2 Reloaded, the developing team recently released the patch notes for Call of Duty Modern Warfare II, as well as the battle royale title. Going by what’s been revealed, they unleash some quality-of-life changes. Along with them, there are certain crucial fixes as well for bugs that were annoying the users. And yes, the two games have now received more content and modes, especially when it comes to the Multiplayer setup.

To begin with, Modern Warfare II has finally received the party modes namely All or Nothing, Drop Zone, and One In The Chamber. Moreover, MP players have also witnessed the introduction of a brand new map in Himmelmatt Expo. It is now available to enjoy in the game’s playlist.

When it comes to weapons, a few of the ARs and LMGs like STB 556, RAAL MG, RPK, and Sakin MG38 have got a reduction in their abilities relating to damage and speed. On the other hand, SMGs like MX9, BAS-p, PDSW 528, and Vel 46 have been buffed in terms of having increased damage for different ranges. Modern Warfare II Multiplayer

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed several out-of-bounds and collision-based exploits across 6v6 maps.
  • Addressed spawn issues on Farm 18.
  • Fixed an exploit for capturing a point in Control on El Aliso.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from selecting the CDL Operators and equipping an earned Ranked Play Skin.
  • Addressed a visual bug that suggested a player’s SR had been reset.

Quality of Life additions:

  • Improved visual feedback when a match is canceled because a player left within the first 30s.
  • The Skill Division Rewards screen now displays rewards from all Divisions by default.
  • Added Top 250 Profile images for a handful of CDL Pro players who were previously missing them

Warzone 2 battle royale

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed some issues causing rainbow glare to appear on the horizon in Al Mazrah (Xbox only).
  • Fixed an issue that would result in incorrect loot being awarded for completing Strongholds or Black Sites.
  • Fixed various issues that would cause players to disconnect from live matches.

Quality of Changes:

  • Killstreak Availability
    • The existing “Airspace is too crowded” message will now have a trailing “for X seconds” attached to it to add better context for players.
  • Cluster Strike & Precision Airstrike Improvements
    • Improved the Airstrike danger notification to be more consistent based on each damage location.
    • Improved directional tracing to prevent the Precision Airstrike targeting from sometimes landing behind the Players.
    • Players will now be notified when calling a Cluster Strike or Precision Airstrike if they are too close to the affected zone.
  • Give-Up Timer Consistency
    • The give-up timer while downed is now more consistent across modes and will last at least 3 seconds.

DMZ extraction mode

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed several Stronghold access issues across DMZ.
  • Fixed an issue where the Secure Nuclear Material contract could select a locked toolbox on Ashika Island.
  • Increased minimum distance between Secure Nuclear Material contracts on the Ashika Island. This will reduce overlapping.
  • Issue fixed for a Friend Mission having an incorrect location description.
  • Fixed description for Stronghold Reacquisition Mission incorrectly stating that the Legion Deal Intel must be extracted.
  • An issue resolved where taking a weapon directly from an enemy’s Backpack wouldn’t register it as an enemy weapon.

Gameplay additions:

  • DMZ Combat Records will launch with Season 02 Reloaded but will not aggregate previous game history. Complete 5 matches to unlock this feature.

Activision’s ongoing installments are now available with the new season update. Players can purchase or download them on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
