Call of Duty Modern Warfare II was released amid high expectations last year. It seems like it has succeeded in impressing most of the players, if not everyone. Season 2 of Call of Duty Modern Warfare II might be on its way, but the developers are yet to confirm a release date for the same. While some players are curious to witness its arrival, they are yet get official news.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare II Season 2 release date and rumors

Ever since it was revealed worldwide, Modern Warfare II has brought back fan-favorite maps and some old weapons as well. Season 1 began on November 16 when Warzone 2 was first launched. Going by the in-game Battle Pass timer (located in the dedicated section), it looks like the current season will culminate on January 31st.

However, the most interesting thing about the Battle Pass is that it also gives an indication about the next season. Given the fact that most of the live-service titles get a new season once the old one reaches its end, the same is expected for Call of Duty Modern Warfare II. It means that Season 2 might arrive on February 1st, 2023 as soon as Season 1 wraps up.

Now coming to what the users will receive in Season 2. There have been several rumors regarding the next big update. Going by some trusted insiders, Modern Warfare II might consist of a Samurai theme. According to the leaks, the Okinawa-based Castle from World at War might make a comeback soon.

Moreover, Operator Ronin (who first arrived in 2019’s rebooted Modern Warfare) is also rumored to return in Season 2. And yes, the much-anticipated Ranked Play mode is also there, among other expected additions. But again, everything should be taken with a grain of salt as of now unless Activision comes out with an official announcement.
