New Modern Warfare 2 Leak Likely To Disappoint Die-Hard Call of Duty Fans

The Call of Duty fans have had a tumultuous few months, to say the least. Initially, the community lauded the launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard for its inclusion of a single player campaign; something that the developers at DICE omitted for the latest iteration of the Battlefield franchise, Battlefield 2042. And Warzone has become a massive online hit since its launch back in March 2020.
But the months since have been rife with consternation surrounding the Vanguard integration in Call of Duty: Warzone. The update introduced a slew of graphical bugs and glitches that have attracted the ire of the fanbase. While the developers remain at work, fixing these issues, it might be the latest leak about Modern Warfare 2 (2022) that takes the heat off them.

But it won’t be the same gameplay just with a shiny new coat of paint, as the IW employee further described the inclusion of several new and existing features.
“…there’s just more of it,” they said.
This might refer to the inclusion of the reported DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) game mode, inspired by Escape from Tarkov. If leaks by prominent Call of Duty leaker Tom Henderson are anything to go by, the game mode has reportedly been in development since early 2018. The new game mode would certainly fit nicely with Call of Duty’s gameplay, but we’re yet to hear an official announcement.

However, the anonymous source was reportedly not too happy with the gameplay for the upcoming title.
Wait so you guys didn’t enjoy the exciting gameplay in camp of duty 2019 where Everytime you turned a corner there were 47 places for .5 kd players to camp so hard that no game ever reached the score limit?😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Despite the mention of how it still looks incredible, it has not stopped some fans from feeling disconnected from the game before it even releases. Others were still sore from their experience with Modern Warfare 2019.
Y'all acting up before anything is specified, he might have completely different taste than all of us, and you guys are rushing to conclusions before the game is even confirmed lol

Although, some fans were quick to hop on the developer’s defense, noting how these were the views of one employee and don’t spell doom for the title all on their own.

Ralph, for his part, has mentioned that the upcoming title would both look and feel new. And the players often master new facets of the movement and systems at play. However, this hasn’t calmed the skeptics.

While the developers at Infinity Ward remain hard at work, we are yet to receive an official launch date for Modern Warfare 2. But because of the streak of previous titles releasing in October-November, we might see a similar release window again.

Conversely, owing to the lukewarm sales of Call of Duty: Vanguard, we might see an earlier release window than earlier entries in the franchise.
