Call of Duty is surely far from its golden days now and it seems like the troubles for this franchise are not going to end anytime sooner. The situation has only gotten worse ever since Modern Warfare II made its way in 2022. Although the Infinity Ward installment has turned out to be a blockbuster in terms of sales, it can’t be said of its overall experience. Most of the players have criticized it for changing the way they used to enjoy COD games in the past.

Call of Duty fans are just upset with Modern Warfare II’s current state and poor mechanics

Reputed streamer and content creator ModernWarzone recently took to Twitter to share a video. It was a brief gameplay clip from a match between the Vega Legion and Florida Mutineers. The clip showed how Mutineers’ Brack was using a snaking mechanic to prevent himself from getting shot by Legion’s Clayster. In the end, the latter had the last laugh as his sharp aiming outperformed Brack’s snaking tactics.

However, what made Call of Duty players disappointed after watching this video was the lack of more movement options in Modern Warfare II. It is quite evident by looking at the clip. That’s because the spamming-prone movement to go snaking isn’t really a skill, according to loyal franchise lovers.

Popular professional player and two-time National Champion Doug Censor Martin also reacted to this video while slamming the devs for ruining the classic COD experience. “This is actually pathetic. Please do something to fix broken mechanics moving forward. I’m sure it’s not easy, but the reality is our game was BETTER 10 years ago because things like this couldn’t happen,” he wrote.
