The gaming competition will see an official eSports team from the US Army taking on other professional rivals.

For the uninitiated, the US Army has its own gaming team. It competes in various tournaments based on extremely popular titles like League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Fortnite, and even Call of Duty. However, their real-world experience may not necessarily translate into gaming skills on the Call of Duty titles.

Call of Duty Warzone 2 Shamrock Showdown will see the US Army competing for $25,000

The Military team is sponsored officially by the United States Army and was founded in 2018. It features active duty and reserve personnel. Technically, this is a public outreach initiative. Millions of dollars have been allocated so far for this objective since the program was first announced more than four years ago.

The US Army eSports has garnered a lot of buzz and fame, thanks to its impressive performances in several competitions. Moreover, eFuse, which is known to organize events for eSports teams to connect and win attractive rewards, recently revealed its brand new tournament called The Shamrock Showdown.

The Shamrock Showdown, based on Warzone 2 battle royale, is going to be held on March 16th, 2023. It will see many prominent teams going against each other. The champion will take home the grand prize of $25,000.

Shortly after the tweet was posted, Bari XxX (a member of the US Army Esports) expressed his wish to see his team in this competition. Interestingly, US Army Esports came up with a surprisingly positive response. Have a look at it below:

Well, that implies the US Army’s gaming squad, comprised of some striking talent, will be playing in The Shamrock Showdown. It will be interesting to see if they will emerge as the winners or not in this Warzone 2 challenge. The event begins at 3 PM ET and will be available to watch on Call of Duty’s Twitch channel.
