Going by the latest report from a trusted source, the developer alpha for the rumored Modern Warfare III game is codenamed ‘HailStröm‘. Well, that’s according to a renowned Twitter account that initially unveiled this major intel.

As reported by media outlet Insider Gaming, the Twitter account named PlayStationSize was the first one to notice this detail. Apparently, it shared an image with IG’s team. The latter mentioned in its article that the current size of the internal developer alpha is around 20 GB. In case anyone missed keeping track of events, the rumored MWIII has been known by the codename ‘Jupiter’.

Fortunately, a separate account that goes by the name of BKTOOR, managed to find the picture that PlayStationSize had shared with Insider Gaming. One can take a look at it below. It clearly shows the codename ‘HailStröm‘ for Call of Duty Modern Warfare III’s internal developer alpha.

Speaking about the buzz for this year’s game, it’s still not clear whether it will end up impressing the fans or not. Previously, some insiders speculated that it will be a great comeback for the franchise. However, now it’s rumored to be even worse than Modern Warfare II, the latest entry from Infinity Ward.

When is CoD 2023 releasing? Will it also receive a Beta?

Publisher Activision is yet to provide a word on the game itself. However, the leaked reports have claimed that it will receive a beta phase in October, followed by Early Access to the Campaign and then the full release. Below is the schedule for MWIII’s Beta period:

• First Beta weekend (PS4/PS5): October 6–October 10
• Second Beta weekend (PS4/PS5/Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S/PC): October 12–October 16
• Early Access of Campaign (PS4/PS5/Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S/PC): November 2
• Complete Release (PS4/PS5/Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S/PC): November 10
