Call of Duty Modern Warfare II is the current premium offering from Activision, but it will soon witness the end of its life cycle later this year. Fans are expecting it to soon be replaced by a brand-new installment.

Rumored to be called Modern Warfare III, the upcoming title has already caught a lot of buzz online. Thanks to the leaks and rumors, it has gained solid momentum in terms of generating curiosity. Now, a major intel coming from an insider will increase the fans’ excitement even more ahead of an official reveal for this game.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare III could be revealed during an event inside Warzone’s DMZ mode

Alaix has earned a reputation for sharing near-accurate updates on CoD titles. The scooper recently took to Twitter to drop speculation based on the awaited entry. While expressing a theory, Alaix mentioned that MWIII’s initial reveal event could take place inside the DMZ mode of Warzone in Season 5.

For those who are not aware, DMZ is an extension of the regular battle royale. In this experience, players need to loot items and extract successfully compared to the usual, fast-paced format of the Warzone’s free-to-play content.

Coming back to the speculation, Alaix didn’t seem too sure of his theory but wrote that the devs may end up announcing Call of Duty 2023 during Season 5 in August. “Seems like a reveal event will happen in Al Mazrah (DMZ?) in S5 I cant say for sure what it is, but it is named “Reveal””

As for the story, nothing is fully known at the moment. However, the leaked reports have revealed that the game is mainly developed by Sledgehammer. The latter is the same studio that worked on 2021’s Vanguard. Furthermore, the project is also expected to have a proper beta phase, followed by a full release in November.
