Hopefully, that won’t be the case going forward. Because the developers of Call of Duty Warzone 2 have decided to offer multiple surprises to the fans next month. Season 2 will consist of many new features and lots of content. So that they will have enough to explore and stay engaged. A recent tweet from the makers has also solidified this possibility, especially regarding an awaited mode in Warzone 2, featuring a smaller map for a fast-paced experience.

Upcoming Ashika Island map for Warzone 2 Season 2 is already a hit among Call of Duty fans before its full reveal!
The official Twitter account of the action franchise recently shared a tweet. “Enjoy a moment of zen before battle” it read while revealing a video. A marble can be seen rolling through the sand with unique Japanese text. The latter translates to the word ‘Sea Lion’.

However, it was a follow-up tweet to the one mentioned earlier that really took everyone by surprise. The other tweet literally disclosed the name of the upcoming map. It will be called the Ashika Island. Players can expect the full reveal of this map later today. In case anyone is not aware, Ashika is expected to be the actual mini Resurgence map which was rumored to be in Season 2.

Resurgence maps of the original Call of Duty Warzone (Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep) were quite popular across the gaming community. Hence, it only makes sense to bring this smaller map format in the current battle royale as well.
