Ever since the launch of the original Warzone in 2020, Verdansk has made a special place in the hearts of millions of fans. Although it’s nowhere to be seen these days and there’s a new battle royale offering in Call of Duty Warzone 2, there are some players who still miss the beloved, fictional location.

However, one Verdansk lover was so obsessed with the map that they eventually succeeded in discovering a special Easter Egg related to the iconic map in 2022’s Call of Duty Warzone 2. Apparently, the fan recently took their talent of paying attention to detail to a whole new level. They noticed something that others may have missed since the release of the game earlier this month.

Operator Reyes has a Verdansk Easter Egg in Call of Duty Warzone 2!

An eagle-eyed fan has managed to spot a clever reference given to the map of Verdansk in the latest free-to-play title. It’s quite surprising to see that other players failed to discover this hidden detail in plain sight for nearly two weeks.

A Reddit user, known as u/tiktokalnuke, shared a video in which they showed how the new Call of Duty operator Enzo Reyes, from SpecGru faction, has a direct connection with Verdansk. Going into the preview screen for this operator, the Reddit user shed some light on the map secured on his left arm.

Once in-game, the user then tries to show the same map, on Reyes’ left hand, in better lighting. Upon getting flipped, the map image appears to be exactly similar to a segment from the map of Verdansk in 2020’s Call of Duty Warzone. After knowing about this massive Easter Egg, it’s obvious to expect that more players in Warzone 2 will try to highlight this attention to detail.

It’s quite impressive to see that the team of Infinity Ward took the time to throw an actual reference to the original, classic map in 2022’s battle royale. The free-to-play offering from Activision is now available across the globe. Players can enjoy it on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
