A lot of users have been asking the devs to make them customizable in the game. Sadly, it took a lot of time for the makers to acknowledge their request. But now, it seems like they are taking steps in the right direction.

Season 2 will make Perk Packages customizable in Call of Duty Warzone 2!
As promised last week, Infinity Ward just recently unveiled the blog for MWII and Warzone 2. It focuses on what one can expect to see in February’s Season 2. While there are various fresh changes to get hyped for, the battle royale is actually receiving a major overhaul. Once the next season arrives, Perk Packages will witness a much-needed transition. The devs confirmed this news in the latest blog.

Here’s what the developing team had to say about the Perk Packages in Call of Duty Warzone 2 going forward:

“Season 02 will introduce customizable Perk Packages! This feature will launch with a slightly reduced pool of available Perks, which we may slowly reintroduce over time. We want to navigate this particular feature as carefully as possible, ensuring that all available Perks provide ample utility and remain viable/balanced options.”

Simply put, players will be able to choose their own perks. They won’t have to rely on pre-made options in the game. It’s the first time the battle royale will receive such a huge change since its original launch on November 16, 2022.

However, as the blog has mentioned above, this feature will initially arrive with a reduced pool of Perks. This means that the devs will take the feedback and, depending on that, they might make further changes with a future update.
