Ever since its awaited launch last year in November 2022, Activision’s latest battle royale entry in Call of Duty Warzone 2 has gained vast popularity so far. After two months of its worldwide release, the game has witnessed various changes. While it already arrived with fresh mechanics and a revamped approach, it’s yet to receive even more refinements. So that players who are not much interested in it, somehow, can also have fun spending time in its large-scale map.

Taking all the feedback from many players into consideration, from the last few weeks, Call of Duty recently came out with an official announcement on Warzone 2. To be precise, the devs revealed a tweet featuring some major updates on the next season for the battle royale game and what everyone can expect from it going forward.

Why Call of Duty Warzone 2’s Season 2 looks promising going into February 2023?

For many days, a lot of fans were having a feeling of disinterest in the ongoing free-to-play game from Activision. That’s because they thought it has nothing left to grind for anymore. Plus, other gameplay mechanics, different from the original Warzone, made some users irritated as they were not expecting Warzone 2 to be so different from its predecessor. All things considered, the game was in serious need of an overhaul immediately.

Now it looks like a refreshing change is on its way very soon. Call of Duty recently announced the official release date for Modern Warfare II’s Season 2. It’s set to drop next month on February 15. This means Warzone 2 players will also get tons of surprises. Fortunately, some of them are already confirmed now, thanks to the tweet from the developing team.

Going by the tweet, Warzone 2 will finally bring a new map for the lovers of battle royale modes. On top of it, much-needed changes to the gulag, looting, and load-outs are also on their way. Many fans wished for them and now they will witness them next month.

Moreover, the Resurgence map (made popular by the original Warzone) is also confirmed to return with Season 2. Most probably, it will be the small-sized map that is mentioned in the tweet above. It will be really interesting to see the design of this Resurgence map, compared to the past version.

Other than these details, there’s nothing else officially announced by the makers. Call of Duty Warzone 2 is now available across the globe on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
