The mid-season update introduced new game-modes, maps, weapons, and two new operators to the Battle Royale. With this week’s weekly update, players can find the elite sniper, Wolf, in stores. As the season in Warzone has progressed, Zombies have invaded Verdansk and are moving locations every week.
Most data-miners had predicted that the zombies would eventually infect the entire map. As a result, a nuke event would be required to wipe out the Zombies and give the Battle Royale a fresh start. While these rumors seemed to be confirmed by recent leaks, some of them will not become reality.

Call of Duty Warzone end season event has a surprising twist
Most Warzone players expected a new map in the form of the Ural Mountains. Activision revealed that this map was a part of their plan, however, they opted against this and chose to go with a Verdansk map set in a time before the zombie invasion. While the date of the ‘Nuke event’ has not been released, we could expect it to occur by the end of the season.

It seems like Activision plan on rewarding their fans for patiently awaiting and taking part in the event. Call of Duty leaker Zesty recently revealed a calling card featuring the burning landscape of Verdansk after what we assume is the occurrence of the nuke event.
He also found a message that congratulates the players on completing Part 1 of the Verdansk nuke event, which suggests the destruction may have multiple parts. It says, “Congratulations on completing The Destruction of Verdansk Part 1! To celebrate we are rewarding you this.”
