Call of Duty Warzone is close to its second anniversary. It has been one of the most played battle royales in current times despite certain issues that surround the title.

The game recently got a handful of weapon tuning updates for the current season. And as surprising as it may sound, the Call of Duty Modern Warfare weapons are actually good now! If you’re one to play along with the meta and abuse any overpowered weapons before they get patched by the developers, you’ve come to the right place.

Call of Duty: Warzone: A new meta in Warzone?

It’s no surprise Call of Duty: Cold War’s weapons dominated the gunplay along with the meta in Warzone. Whereas the Modern Warfare weapons never seemed to share the spotlight with the rest of the guns. Although some of them were good enough to use, there were other, much more viable options.

But it all changes now! Courtesy of the mid-season update and last week’s patch, Modern Warfare weapons may now define the meta. The recent tweaks aim to bring these weapons back into action and Warzone YouTuber WhosImmortal breaks it down perfectly in his latest video.

Call of Duty: Warzone: Best Modern Warfare Loadouts of Season 5

The modern weapons that stand out the most according to the statistics are the CR-56 AMAX,?PKM, and the?M4A1. All three weapons have their own advantages based on the situations players find themselves in. The PKM is the second-best weapon for chest shots to 50 meters. On the other hand, AMAX is, hands down, the best weapon for close-range fights if you manage land headshots according to WhosImmortal.

M4A1

• Muzzle:?Monolithic Suppressor
• Barrel: Stock M16 Grenadier
• Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip (recommended) OR Laser: Tac Laser
• Magazine: 60 rounds
• Optic: VLK 3x optic

These aforementioned loadout attachments will increase the M4’s accuracy, range, and control of the spread of bullets. Unfortunately, it will take its toll on mobility.

CR-56 AMAX

• Muzzle:?Monolithic Suppressor
• Barrel: XRK Zodiac S440
• Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip? OR Laser: Tac Laser (recommended)
• Magazine: 45 rounds
• Optic: VLK 3x optic

Similar to the M4, this loadout will increase AMAX’s range, control, and accuracy and decrease mobility.

PKM

• Muzzle:?Monolithic Suppressor
• Barrel: Heavy Barrel
• Underbarrel: Snatch Grip
• Rare Grip:?Stippled Grip Tape OR Laser: Tac Laser
• Optic: VLK 3x optic

These attachments will increase the accuracy and range of the PKM, making it easier for players to use the machine gun.
