Microsoft Xbox has recently acquired Activision Blizzard for $75 billion, reportedly making it the biggest deal in video game history. While the deal had some roadblocks put in front of it by the FTC, in the end, the court rules in favor of this deal. Now Xbox has full control over the series made by Activision, namely, Call of Duty, Overwatch, Diablo, and many more.

During the proceedings of the FTC vs Microsoft case, Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick made a shocking confession. He stated that not bringing Call of Duty to Nintendo Switch was a wasted opportunity.

Bobby Kotick’s judgment on the Nintendo Switch console
“I made a bad judgment,” he said, “When I had seen the prototype of the Switch, it was different than when I saw the prototype of the Wii. I thought it was the most extraordinary video game system ever created.” But Kotick did not release the game on Switch as he feared the console will be a flop. Proving Kotick wrong, the console is currently the third-highest best-selling console of all time. And with the recent acquisition by Microsoft, Call of Duty devs have a clean slate to try once more.
