“Can’t Wait For People to Hear it” – Mario Movie Producer Praises Lead Star Chris Pratt

Marvel Cinematic Universe fame, Chris Pratt will lend his voice to the Italian Plumber Mario. Chris Meledandri (co-founder of Illumination) talked about Chris Pratt and his phenomenal role in Mario. He also highlighted the point that the lead character won’t be totally copying the strict Italian style of Mario.

He said, “All I can tell you is the voice that he’s doing for us and Mario is phenomenal. I can’t wait for people to hear it.” He also highlighted the point that Chris won’t totally replicate the accent due to some reasons.

And it definitely seems like Meledandri is not regretting his decision to cast Chris Pratt as a lead character, despite understanding very well where all the critics are coming from.

The casting of the upcoming Mario movie

Furthermore, when Meledandri was asked about why he choose to cast a non-Italian to this major role. He replied, “Well, as an Italian-American myself, I understand the comments. Charlie Day, who’s playing Luigi actually, comes from an Italian heritage. So that’s our nod.

The Mario movie starring none other than Chris Pratt and Anya Taylor-Joy as the lead voice actors for Mario and Peach respectively is all set to hit the theaters next year on December 21, 2022. So, fans may have to wait a bit longer to see how Chris Pratt’s accent is in the movie.

Going by looks of things so far, it definitely seems like the movie is going to be phenomenal. All these actors are renowned names in the film industry, and getting a movie with all of them together is certainly great news. From Netflix series to cult hit movies, these people have done it all. And their skills as voice actors will be on display when the movie finally comes out.
