Ahead of the second week of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 beta, fans have mixed feelings about how they feel about the game. While many were happy to see everything that’s implemented in the game after the first weekend, others felt like the remakes are just excuses for not working on new titles.

Although the upcoming game has many new features and game modes, these might seem repetitive for players who have been following the franchise for years. On the other hand, players playing the game for the first time have a different opinion altogether.

What did the Call of Duty beta entail?

One new player to the series tried their hands on the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 beta and it looks like they had a good experience. This is a player that has not played the previous games, so they jumped in without knowing what to expect. However, the fact that the player had a good experience is a good sign. It is to be noted that the player’s lack of experience with the original MW games includes the weapons, maps, and game modes.

Although many elements have been reworked from the original MW3, it’s not surprising that this player had a good time. Most series players, who are veterans familiar with many maps and weapons, leave new players with much to explore.

Weekend 1 of the beta program featured only a few maps and game modes, including Rust (Open Beta), Skidrow, Estate, and the Ground War Map – Popov Power.

After having a good experience with Weekend 1, the fan is excited for the second weekend of the beta. Along with the new Cutthroat 3v3v3 and Seek & Destroy modes coming to the game, the second weekend will bring in the return of Highrise and Orlov Military Base. The second weekend finally launches the Beta for Xbox and pc users. With more players joining the game, the action only gets more intense.

What did the community think of the new player’s outlook?

While it’s rather rare that there is positive feedback on the Call of Duty Reddit page, one user pointed out this rare occurrence in a humours way. The user said, “How dare you say something positive on a cod subreddit? We don’t do that here sir we only cry for every new cod and praise the old ones.”

One user felt weird about the Beta scheduling, stating, “Feels so weird to have 1 day off between the betas.”

Meanwhile, this user wanted to know if PS users can play the beta on weekend 2. “Will I be able to play it tomorrow on PlayStation? Do I need to preorder or is it open beta?”

And in response, another user said, “Playstation is open beta on 10/12 Only Xbox and PC are early access, which they need to pre order for.”

One veteran player mentioned their thoughts on new players complementing features in the game. And remarking at what was said in the original post about never having played the original game, the user said, “Cod really is now made for the new generation :(“

Another player with a lot of history with the game spoke about how the maps give them a nostalgic feel, stating, “I was 6 when the original came out, i’m 20 now and i’m having a blast playing these maps again.”

As the game is getting closer, fans cannot wait to see the complete product. Sledgehammer is under some pressure, considering not all feedback has been positive. Xbox players now have access to the game and only time will tell how the game performs after its full release.
