CD Projekt Have a New Problem on Their Hands Besides Cyberpunk 2077

After Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt is now facing a new problem. According to the latest financial reports, the GOG digital storefront of CD Projekt has been losing money. However, the overall revenue of the company has increased. But unfortunately, the GOG reports year-to-date losses of $2.21 million. According to Piotr Nielubowicz, there will be some major changes in GOG.

He also highlighted the point that the company has already taken the required step to solve this issue. Moreover, CD Projekt is planning to focus more and more on business activity and the changes will allow GOG to focus majorly on financial effectiveness by next year. According to the official financial reports for the third quarter, the net profits are down by approximately 30% to $3.92 million.

He said (as reported by Eurogamer), “Alongside all these changes we initiated through organization of GOG’s operations, we believe that all of the changes we are introducing will allow GOG to focus more on its core business and improve its financial effectiveness in 2022.”

Cyberpunk 2077 next-gen upgrade and other major bug fixing update is nearly here

Finally, the company has shared the release window for the next-gen upgrade. Now, after some delays, the upgrade is all set to release early next year (2022). Moreover, the upgrade from older generations (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One) to next-gen consoles (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S) will be absolutely free. Earlier, the upgrade was scheduled for September 2021, but then, due to some unavoidable issues, it was pushed forward to 2022.

After facing a series of delays, the title was then released in a buggy state, to the point where Sony Interactive Entertainment decided to remove the game from its official store. Players started demanding their money back. Since then, the developers of Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt have been releasing fixes and updating consistently to at least make the game more playable for the fans.

The overhyped title faced a pretty rough start with all the criticism and bugs during its launch. But now, it finally looks like CD Projekt is on the right track. And soon Cyberpunk 2077 will be at least free from all the major issues and bugs. Right now, CD Projekt has a lot on its plate with all the GOG loss and the upcoming major updates of Cyberpunk 2077.
