Thanksgiving is nearly here, and everyone’s extremely excited about it. But unfortunately, Target (major PlayStation and Xbox retailer) has recently shared a shocking and disheartening admission for future thanksgiving holidays. From this year (2021) onwards, Target will close all of its stores on the Thanksgiving holiday. Brian Conell made this policy after visiting the Target store last week in New York. Where workers at the store told him they were glad they could at least stay with their family members on Thanksgiving last year.
Definitely, it makes complete sense as workers also need to spend some quality time with their family members, especially on such a special day. However, in 2016, California Legislator proposed a law that would have required all these major companies and retailers in the country to just pay extra wages to their employees. Those who are working in the store on Thanksgiving day. But unfortunately, the law was not passed.

Back in 2020, major US retailers such as Target, Walmart, Best Buy, and more kept their stores closed due to pandemic restrictions and they will do the same this year as well. The pandemic and health concerns mainly pushed all these major retailers to close their doors on such a big day. However, Walmart is the only retailer which has made the changes in its Thanksgiving policy yet. Thanksgiving is one of the major days to grab all the stuff at huge discounts, but this time there is something different about it.
