Fans troll Airrack for poor jokes at the YouTube Streamy Awards 2022

Eric Decker, better known as Airrack, is one of the most successful YouTubers on the platform. He rose to popularity after becoming the fastest YouTuber to cross the seven million subscriber mark. With that, the platform approached him to host this year’s Streamy Awards, allowing him to step into the spotlight. And while he did a fantastic job of keeping the energy alive throughout, fans were disappointed with his performance. Apparently, they expected more from the Youtuber as he always stepped out to entertain them.

A prime example would be the time when he roasted fellow creators, which started the fiasco on Twitter. Thousands of fans hopped on to express their feelings, talking about how the show was rigged, questioning, “Why is Airrack nominated, and why did he win he’s literally hosting???”

Generally, award show hosts are not entitled to any awards, limiting them to only hosting the show. But YouTube’s Streamy awards broke the code by awarding Airrack the ‘First Person’ award. This created chaos in the community, with fans questioning the rationality of the show. They expressed their feelings by talking about how JiDion deserved the award, compared to Airrack. Here’s what they had to say.

While Airrack featured some of the comments amidst the show, he took them sportingly and continued his bit. After all, he wasn’t taking any steps to spoil his mood, as it was one of his biggest nights.
